British Open Curling Championships
Open to teams of any 4 curlers, this competition starts on the first Monday in February and is played on a double knockout basis. Entry to the competition is restricted to the first 48 rinks, with entries thereafter placed on a reserve list. Cash prize for overall winner as well as prizes for furthest progressed rink in the following categories;
Farmers, Ladies, Mixed, Seniors, Juniors.
This proves to be a popular competition and early entry is advised.
British Ladies Open Curling Championships
Open to teams of any 4 lady curlers, this competition is played on a double knockout basis at the beginning of March and as entries are restricted to the first 24 teams, an early entry is advised
Open to any 4 curlers, teams are divided into divisions and play their games on a Tuesday evening for promotion and prizes, all games played at prime time.
This competition is played as a double knockout any 4 curlers playing in any position, games played on afternoon and evening ice, starts February.
Open to any mixed teams of 2 curlers, this competition is played early March
Open to rinks of 4 male curlers, this competition is played on a single knockout format.
Club Competitions
All entrants for club competitions must be members of Stirling Ice Rink Sports Club.
Played on Wednesday evenings throughout the season and open to any 4 players.
Played on Wednesday evenings throughout the season and open to teams of 2 male and 2 female curlers playing at alternate positions.
Open to any 4 curlers, this competition is played during the first half of the season, i.e. October - December
Seniors Leagues
SCOTIA (Stirling Curling Old Timers In Action) League
Played throughout the season on Tuesday afternoons this competition is open to teams of 4 players who have attained the age of 50 or over by the 1st June, in the year that the competition starts, entries can be teams or individual, stating your preferred position.
Ladies Branch Competitions
Entries for the following competitions to be submitted to Ice Rink or Directly to Ladies Branch
This Competition is played on a round robin basis, with the top teams in each section qualifying for the knockout stages, open to teams of any 4 ladies, starts October.
One Day Bonspiel played November
One Day Bonspiel in January
Open to teams of any 2 ladies and played on a knockout basis in January
RCCC Competitions
Individual entries required for this inter rink competition, 3 rinks (12 players) required per game. Teams throughout Scotland are divided into sections with the winners of each section qualifying to play in the finals. Each game is normally followed by a meal and entertaining "stories" provided by the participants, all games played on afternoon ice.
As Per Maxwell Trophy, with the exception that the competition is open to ladies only.
Open to any 4 lady curlers, with local playdowns deciding who will go on to represent Stirling in the finals.
All remaining RCCC competitions require entry direct to RCCC. With local playdowns taking place as required

Local Inter Club Competitions
Invited Clubs play in a Bonspiel to celebrate the start of a new season.
Inter club bonspiel held at the beginning of the season.
Inter Club League for the Williamfield Trophy
Open to any 4 curlers from the same club, played on a league system, with games taking place on a Tuesday evening throughout the season.
New for 2004 - 2005 season, clubs will be asked to nominate their top 3 points scorers for this competition, with an average score of the 3 players deciding the winners, will take place at the end of the season.
Fun Competitions
A fun festive bonspiel, held between Christmas and New Year, this bonspiel is open to teams that are comprised of 3 members of the same family, including aunts, uncles, cousins etc., plus one "adopted" member of the family.
Traditionally the last competition of any given year, this fun bonspiel is open to any 4 curlers and is played on the schenkel system. A festive meal will be served between games.
Individual entries required for this fun competition, stating preferred position in rink. Teams are then made up from these entries. Competition format is play 5 ends, break for haggis neeps and tatties, then play a further 5 ends.
